Born on 19 January, 1922 in Sydney Arthur Morris was a universal choice as opening batsman in the many "Best Ever" teams. He toured England with the all-conquering Bradman team of 1948 which were referred to as the "invincibles"as they were only side to tour England to remain unbeaten and topped the batting averages, hitting 3 centuries with an average of 87.00. He played in 46 Tests, scored 3533 runs, averaged 48.48 (12 Centuries) and will remain one of Australia's finest and most likeable batsman.
