India won a historic ODI tri-series featuring Sri Lanka and England in England. Chasing 326 in the finals at Lord's India had their backs againt the wall when young guns Yuvraj Singh and Mohd. Kaif (87* of 75) ammassed a winning partnership. India chased the target to break some records and also thier long lasting jinx of winning an ODI series on foreign soil. The series will also famously be remembered for Indian captain Sourav Ganguly's tee-shirt incident on the Lord's dressing room balcony. Later the 4 match test series was drwan 1-1 with Michael Vaughn & Rahul Dravid avergaing 100 each and amassing more than 600 runs to their credit. Anil Kumble and Matthew Hoggard balanced the scales with picking 14 wickets a piece for their respective sides.
